Trained extensively as a teacher and as a therapist, she added to these skills years of experience in the world of business as an administrator, fundraiser and small business consultant. In 1997 MSM was a simple 500 hour Basic Massage course. Marilyn has written a new 650 hour curricula including basic and advanced kinesiology, anatomy, physiology and pathology. She has developed protocols and gathered highly respected clinicians and instructors of orthopedic techniques and medical massage procedures. The result: a multilevel institution which includes a 650 Hour Program with a Spa or Therapeutic Track and over 600 hours of continuing education which includes an advanced 500 hour Medical Massage Track. Most of the CE hours are NCBTMB Provider A and approved by the, AMMA, AMTA, and ABMP. Just as the massage industry is ever changing and ever growing, so too is Marilyn’s quest to find better avenues to educate “exceptional therapists”.
