...More About Marilyn Rotko,  MA, MNNCB, NCTMB

Just as the massage industry is ever changing and growing, so too is Marilyn's' quest to find better avenues to educate “exceptional therapists”.   To this end, she has authored and implemented a 650 hour curriculum which includes Swedish massage, orthopedic protocols, basic and advanced kinesiology, anatomy, physiology and pathology.  She has developed instructional materials for advanced therapeutic protocols and has gathered together with highly respected clinicians and instructors from different parts of the country to share their knowledge of orthopedic techniques and medical massage procedures.  As a result, the continuing education classes which she has written or collaborated in writing are NCBTMB Provider A and approved by the, AMMA, AMTA, and ABMP.   Most recently, Marilyn’s partnership with Nancy Haller and Advanced Training Connections continues to expand the breadth of the therapeutic experience available to her students and to therapists wishing to continue their education. As a nationally certified practioner by both the NCBTMB, and the Medical Massage Certification Board. Marilyn specializes in the treatment of trauma and injury utilizing  myofascial techniques, such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy as well as postural analysis and reeducation.  She finds that working with prescriptions from physicians as an allied healthcare practioner to be especially gratifying.  Her massage clinic "A Therapeutic Touch"  is home to several therapists each with a unique specialty.  Together this team supports each other and better serves our community.

The "researcher", the "business person", the "bodyworker", the "educator" looks forward to assisting each therapist and student therapist who crosses her path. She knows from personal experience and shares the knowledge that the potential of  our chosen profession is limited only by education and desire for excellence.
